The MDG Achievement Fund supported 14 joint programmes in this area with an allocation of US$80 million. In marginalized rural and urban areas, opportunities for building technical skills and obtaining work are hard to come by, particularly for young women. The effort of the Youth, Employment and Migration Window contributed to reaching the MDG target of achieving full and productive employment and decent work for all, under MDG 1 (Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger). Read more about this Window on the MDG-F website.
